We in part to the conclusion of the warranty claim where i submitted my high since h9f for replacement and you know what well let s unwrap. This and we ll talk so we missed it in the first part of this whole warranty claim process with the hisense h9f started the submission in the last video.
So here we are less than three weeks later and well a couple of things that i d like to share with you first the whole process took less than three weeks. That s pretty impressive second well they agreed to replace the tv and you saw the damage. It wasn t terrible. But it was bad enough to affect my viewing.
And it was obvious right that brown spot. But third and this is the important part there was a lot of back and forth with high sense over the last week or so where they actually said to me we can t find the damage can you send us more pictures. So i sent these additional pictures right and you know i circled it in red. So i suggest you guys do that is wherever the damage is helping them find it because maybe they don t have a good monitor.
They can t see it whatever the reason make it easy for them so i made sure to circle..
Where the dirty screen effect or the uniformity issue was let them see it and then they agreed okay. You know what this is deserving of warranty replacement. So yes. I will be getting a replacement.
But this is the interesting part i m not sending that tv back as a matter of fact i elected the option where i keep the tv. They re gonna send a technician to the house with what i assume is a hammer a wrench break. The tv screen take a picture of the broken screen. And then they will send a replacement.
So now i am stuck with a broken tv screen and it s my responsibility to discard it so that s the option. I elected the second option would have been to pack. The tv get it over to a shipper send it back to hisense once they receive the tv at hisense. They will then take a hammer to it and send me my replacement.
The reason why i chose option..
One is it s faster and they ll explain that to you right like look you got two options. But we recommend the first one because we send the tech over they break the tv. They sent us a picture to confirm it s broken and boom. We will send you your replacement tv.
The only thing is now you are responsible for discarding that tv. So i have to figure out what to do with that tv. And that s really is the difference right the first option is the faster option. But you re stuck with a broken tv.
The second one takes a bit longer and you still have to find a way to get that tv to a shipper and well i deal with that and this is not unique. I ve gone through a lot of the forums apparently this is what hisis does they provide the option where they break the tv on site. And it s good to go also a couple you have commented that hey wait a minute maybe. It s because you re a youtuber and they re helping you out here.
You know special treatment..
The youtube premium right on the one hand. Maybe yes. But on the other hand. It s a double edged sword for hisense and this is why i posted my issues and i m posting more pictures now it puts them in a position where anybody with this problem can point to this video and link.
It and say hi. Since you covered fo mo s tv. My damage or my uniformity issue. Or my brown spot is pretty much the same as his or worse.
Why am. I not covered so by posting the video either way hisense has put itself out there as pretty much saying okay we ll cover anyone with that kind of damage so it works for you guys as well now what impressed me the most really is the speed the entire process from sending out that first email and you can see the details in that first video it took less than three weeks. Yeah so that s pretty impressive. I m not unique in that respect i ve checked other users who s posted other forums av forums and so forth and they ve gotten similarly quick responses now obviously not all of them got a response they wanted but hisense is responsive.
So there s that does this make me more likely to buy hi..
Sister future absolutely it comes with the territory. It s a 900 tv. That s not bad and if this is a huge obstacle to many of you buying at a best buy if you buy their extend warranty extra couple hundred dollars best buy will take care of it you don t have to worry about discarding. I just wanted to see what would be like if i went through the hisense warranty.
